How to Register
ASN Events is using their online process to record registrations. When you first enter the link, if you have not used the system before it will ask you to complete your personal details. This is saved to your own unique 'dashboard' and does not have to be re-entered again. Delegates who have used it before when attending other recent ASN managed conferences will find their existing dashboard works already for this meeting too. The 'dashboard' is something you can revisit many times. You can register, lodge your abstract, select various options and accommodation, get your tax invoice, make payments and stay in touch with the organisers from your own dashboard. Group leaders can co-ordinate all their members from their own page. ASN welcomes your feedback on this new process and trust you will find it more convenient.

Group Managers
If you are a group manager that is arranging registrations for delegates within your organisation, please click here to view registration instructions.

If you are a group manager that is arranging the payment of registrations for delegates outside of your organisation, please contact Kristie McHutchison - kristie@asnevents.net.au with the following details:
-    Name of sponsored delegate(s)
-    Items and amounts to be covered as part of the sponsorship
-    Name of conference
If you require a separate invoice for sponsored delegates and staff members, please contact Kristie McHutchison - kristie@asnevents.net.au

Registration Payment
A secure site is provided for online payment of your charges. This has its own section on the ‘dashboard’. The payment options are:

Credit card -  VISA or MasterCard
Cheque - (either personal or from your institute)
Direct Debit - (you will be emailed banking instructions upon application)

An Australian Tax Invoice will be provided for all registrants once registered. You can reprint this and your receipt from your ‘dashboard’ at any time.

The ABN for the conference is 90 093 246 176. All rates quoted include GST and are in Australian dollars.

All online registrations are checked by the secretariat. If there is any query they will contact you. If you wish to make changes or additions after you have registered, return to your ‘dashboard’. The ‘dashboard’ also keeps a record of any abstract you have submitted.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations will incur a cancellation fee (to be advised) if made in writing before the 26th July 2012. No refund is payable after that date but registrations can be transferred to substitute delegates without penalty.

Insurance
The Registration fee does not include insurance of any kind and the Meeting Secretariat cannot take any responsibility for any participant failing to arrange their own insurance. Delegates are encouraged to make their own insurance arrangements to cover any loss caused by unforeseen delay, circumstance or cancellation.

PROGRAM

Confirmed International Invited Speaker

PROFESSOR SUSAN FISHER
The University of Califronia, San Francisco, CA, United States

This year’s SRB President's Lecturer is Professor Susan Fisher, Director of the Translational Research in Perinatal Biology and Medicine program in the Department of Obstretics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences, at UCSF, California, USA.

Prof. Fisher’s work has laid the foundations for our current understanding of the mechanisms of placentation. In particular her research has generated key findings in trophoblast cell biology, stem cells, and the role of a low-oxygen environment in regulating cellular differentiation. Recently, her laboratory has identified functional roles for immune cells in establishing the maternal-fetal interface as well as discovered mechanisms by which malarial infection impacts placental cell adhesion. She has also applied her skills in mass spectrometry and glycobiology to biomarker discovery in cancer. Her work studying the mechanisms used by the trophoblast cells of the human placenta to invade the uterus during normal pregnancy has far-reaching implications for fetal development, stem cell biology and migratory mechanisms regulating cancer.

The 2013 program is yet to be finalised, please keep posted for further details.

Major Aims:
(1) Create a forum for ANZPRA members to network, exchange ideas and set up collaborations
(2) Provide an opportunity for ANZPRA members including ECRs to showcase their research
(3) Update ANZPRA members on key advances emerging in the field around the globe
