Prof Eva Dimitriadis
Eva Dimitriadis, PhD is a NHMRC Senior Research Fellow, Professor in Reproductive Biology at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, University of Melbourne and Co-Head of the Gynaecology Research Centre at The Women’s Hospital in Melbourne. She specialises in infertility and pregnancy disorders associated with placental insufficiency and endometrial cancer. Her research focuses on endometrial receptivity, embryo-endometrial communication and trophoblast-endometrial interactions and cell adhesion and invasion. She has a particular interest in epigenetic mechanisms and inflammation as regulators of the above conditions. She has authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications, many in prestigious journals including PNAS, Cell Reports and Nature Reviews Endocrinology. Her work has featured in several editorials in journals including Science, PNAS, BOR and EBioMedicine. She has served on SRB council and on international committees including for SRI and SSR. She has a passion for mentoring the next generation and has mentored many students, postdoctoral fellows and clinical trainees who have received numerous awards and independent funding to establish research careers.
