SRB Student Travel Grants


All students who are financial members or who have applied to be members are eligible to apply for travel grants to attend the Annual Scientific Conference.

For eligibility requirements and to apply, please print out a copy of the application form and send it together with a copy of your abstract to the Treasurer.

The declaration form needs to be completed for each SRB award you wish to apply for; If you are applying for the mid-career award you do not need to fill out the form.

2010 SRB RCRH Award for Excellence in Reproductive Biology Research

To recognize an emerging and excellent contributor working in the field of Reproductive Biology who is a member of the SRB. Recipients must be less than 15 year post-receipt of Doctorate at the time of award and agree to attend and present at the SRB annual meeting if application is successful. The SRB New Investigator Award

Is given to the best presentation at the Annual Scientific Meeting by a member who is a postgraduate student or within 2 years of receiving their PhD award. Nominees must be members of the Society for Reproductive Biology. A short list of applicants will be selected from the submitted abstracts to present in the dedicated New Investigator Award session. Applicants must use the attached form to submit a 100 word statement describing their career stage (ie degrees and date of award) and progress toward PhD or beyond and listing each author’s contribution to the work to be presented. This statement must be signed by all authors and faxed before the close of abstract submissions.




Oozoa Student Award


One award is given to a presenting author who is a current SRB member for the best presentation, either oral or poster, by a postgradute student (pre-award of PhD at time of abstract submission), working on gametes (oocytes or sperm). Applicants must indicate their wish to be considered for the award and submit the attached form indicating your career stage and declaring your contribution to the presented work. 


Centre for Reproduction and Genomics Poster Awards. 

Two awards are given to presenting authors who are current SRB members for the best poster presentations by a postgraduate student (pre-award of PhD at time of abstract submission) or early-career (up to 7 years post-doc).  Applicants must indicate which award you are eligible for and submit the attached form indicating your career stage and declaring your contribution to the presented work. Only applicants who are chosen for poster presentation will remain eligible for these awards.

The ANZPRA Award

The ANZPRA Award is for the best presentation in placental biology. Applicants must be an ANZPRA member and must indicate their wish to be considered for the award.
